Dr. Michelle Duncan DVM

Dr. Michelle Duncan DVM

Dr. Michelle Duncan graduated from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Her undergraduate studies were completed at Michigan State University in Animal Science. She has been a veterinarian at Western Illinois Veterinary Clinic since 2014. Her medical interests include bovine and equine medicine as well as small animal surgery. Michelle lives on a farm in Adams County with her husband, Cutter, and son, Gatlin. They enjoy riding horses and spending time on the farm with their cattle and dogs. 

 

Dr. Melissa Austin-Gundel DVM

Dr. Melissa Austin-Gundel DVM

Small animal veterinarian at Western Illinois Vet Clinic since 2012, wife to fellow veterinarian, Adam, mother of two, Garrett and Addison, and fur-mom to Scooby: a 3-legged Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and Turbo: a basic grey tabby domestic shorthair cat that is anything but basic. Loves to work, travel, spend time with family and friends, and eat out! Medical interests include :family/preventative medicine, internal medicine, dermatology, and dentistry.  Graduate of MU-College of Veterinary Medicine, Class of 2009. 

Dr. Mallory Perrine DVM

Dr. Mallory Perrine DVM

Dr. Mallory Perrine is a 2011 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.  She graduated from Millikin University in Decatur, IL with a B.S. in Biology in 2007. Dr. Mallory was a mixed animal practitioner for 7 years prior to joining Western Illinois Veterinary Clinic in 2018. She currently resides in Pike County, Illinois with her husband, Adam, and their children Liam, Adler and Elsie. Along with their dog, Ducky, and 2 cats, Boo & Orange. In her free time, she loves travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Bridget McGarry DVM

Dr. Bridget McGarry DVM

Bridget has been with Western Illinois Veterinary Clinic since the summer of 2017. She practices mixed animal medicine and enjoys the variety of working with both large and small animals. She is originally from northern Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and trying her hand at gardening. 

Dr. Rachel Johnson DVM

Dr. Rachel Johnson DVM

Dr. Rachel Johnson graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to vet school she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Biological Chemistry at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri. Rachel grew up in the Barry area, and is very excited to be working so close to home. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and chocolate lab Zoey. Rachel enjoys practicing both large and small animal medicine at WIVC.

Dr. Tessa

Dr. Tessa Simmons DVM

Dr. Tessa graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She completed her Bachelor's degree at K-State as well; a BS in Animal Science with a minor in Biology.  After working for several years in both the St. Louis and Kansas City areas, she returned closer to home and joined the staff at WIVC in 2022. She practices small animal medicine and surgery. 

Outside of work Dr. Tessa is busy managing her family;  husband Nathan and 3 boys; Aengus, Carter, and Charlie. She enjoys spending time with them, traveling, reading, trying new foods, and attempting to learn different languages.
